Kate, Owner/Instructor

Hi, my name is Kate and I am excited to welcome you to the Web site for Studio X, the Richmond area's only studio dedicated solely to the art of exotic dance.

I possess a broad range of dance experiece, including; tap, ballet, jazz, pointe and hip-hop. I started my exotic dance career, at the age of 33, dancing locally at Pure Pleasure and Richard 's Rendezvous under the stage name of "Austin," and have been in the exotic dance industry for 13 years. At the young age of 40, I was voted Pure Pleasure's 2002 Entertainer of the Year!

I have been featured in an interview in Style magazine about exotic dancers and appeared on the cover of the issue. My professional experience also includes working as a house dancer in Myrtle Beach at the Crazy Horse as well as at various clubs in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Although I love the larger clubs, I am a local girl happy to call Virginia home.

Laura, Instructor

Hi, my name is Laura. I have been an instructor at Studio X for over three years. I draw in my experience from Latin Dance (salsa, meringue, bachata) and Bellydance. I have been dancing professionally for over 10 years. Some of the classes that I teach are Fantasy Fit Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Pro; Brass Beginner; Butterflies; Seduction 101; Lap Dance; Striptease; Sexy Back; and my husband and I teach the Couples Lap Dance class.

I can definitely put you in touch with your sensual side. The highlight for me of teaching at Studio X is when my students look in the mirror, love what they see, and feel sexy with every move they make!

Kat, Instructor

Hi, my name is Kat and my specialty is the pole. When it comes to pole dance, I have specialized skills and tricks that are fascinating to watch and fun to learn. I have been an instructor at Studio X for over two years.

I teach Brass Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Pro along with the Spin Combo Workshop and Lap Dance class. I love watching women become more confident with their bodies; they blossom and want to be more sexy.

Yvahn, Instructor

Hi, my name is Yvahn. I am the creator of the Live Sexy classes. I will have your heart pumping and your feet tapping in my classes. From experience on a competitive college dance team as well as influence from Hip Hop, Jazz, Hula, and Ballroom, I can help you find your groove.

I teach Live Sexy, Bar Top Boot Scoot, Brass Beginner, and Fantasy Fit Beginner.

Cara, Instructor

Hi, my name is Cara. I am 23-years-old and I have been dancing professionally for 5 years. I am absolutelty thrilled to be instructing exotic dance classes at Studio X.

I have been dancing since the age of five and my experience includes tap, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop. I am proficient in pole dancing as well as freestyle dances. Exotic dancing has enhanced my self-confidence, athleticisim and general well-being. Learning and teaching exotic dance has been an exceptionally rewarding experience, and I hope to see you in my upcoming classes.
